  48. If you or one of your friends own a Macintosh«, you might know that nearly
  49. all data for programms are stored in a special format, called "resource".
  50. This structured file can be seen as a containership (resourcefile) with
  51. different containers (resource types, e.g. "snd "). Each of this containers
  52. holds some objects (the real data, e.g. the sounddata).
  53. With MacResourceráyou can play and extract two common sound resourcetypes
  54. used: "snd " mono and stereo, 8 and 16 bit (compressed sounds not supported)
  55. and "SOUN". The programm also accepts other resource types and lets you
  56. save their rawdata.
